We are seeking a Bookshop Manager to develop and run the Bookshop within Rudolf Steiner House. This involves selecting and stocking the shop with appropriate books and other merchandise and ensuring the smooth transaction of sales and stock maintenance.
Alongside books by Rudolf Steiner and other anthroposophical authors, the post-holder is invited to carefully select other books by authors addressing contemporary issues, as well as to initiate and help organise book launches and other book-related events. The Bookshop aspires to become a hub for people seeking progressive perspectives on social and spiritual issues where Anthroposophy can be discovered and explored as part of the bigger conversation.
The post requires vision, imagination and a deep connection and commitment to Rudolf Steiner’s cultural impulse. It will also require collaborative working with the Board (Council) and the Rudolf Steiner House team. Previous professional experience of working in the sphere of bookselling and/or publishing is essential.
