Speech and Drama
A new art of speech formation has been developed to give the spoken word a living, spiritual resonance. Speech artists seek to release into the outpouring stream of the breath the inherent movements and gestures of the consonants and vowels.
In this way they can reveal the working of the poetic imagination as it takes hold of the very substance of language, creating from it a world of sound, image and movement beyond the prosaic meaning of words.
The actor also, by uniting in this way with the essence of the word, can find new ways of revealing on the stage the inner world of the human soul and spirit.
